Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and TechWright Labs ("we"). They cover the DayNotch apps and the sync service at daynotch.com. By using DayNotch you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use DayNotch.

What DayNotch is

DayNotch helps you keep habits, count the time since you quit something, and record numbers that matter to you. It stores your data on your phone. Signing in is optional and adds sync and backup.

Your account

You sign in with your Apple or Google account. You must be at least 16 years old. Keep your phone and your Apple or Google account secure: anyone who can use them can see your DayNotch data. You can delete your DayNotch account at any time.

Your content

What you enter is yours. You give us permission to store it and to copy it between your devices, only so that we can provide the service to you. We do not claim any other rights in it. How we handle it is described in the Privacy policy.

You are responsible for keeping your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. Sync is a convenience, not a guaranteed archive.

What DayNotch is

DayNotch is a habit and quit-streak tracker. Streaks, counters and anything you log are records of what you entered, exactly as you entered them. The app does not check or interpret them, and it is not a medical service and gives no medical advice.

Acceptable use

Do not use DayNotch to break the law, do not try to access other people's data, do not interfere with the service or probe it for weaknesses without our written permission, and do not use automated means to create accounts or load the service.

Availability and changes

We work to keep sync available, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. The app keeps working on your phone when sync is unavailable. We may change or remove features. If we ever plan to stop the sync service, we will tell you in advance so that you can keep your data on your device.

Price

DayNotch is free to use. If we introduce paid features, we will tell you the price before you are charged, and what you already use for free will not be charged without your agreement.

Liability

DayNotch is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, or for decisions you make based on what the app shows. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or the rights you have as a consumer where you live.

Ending these terms

You can stop using DayNotch and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you the chance to put it right.

Apple and Google

If you downloaded DayNotch from the App Store or Google Play, their terms also apply to your download. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and are not responsible for the app or for supporting it.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using DayNotch after a change, you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the country where TechWright Labs is established. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
